Devon Black Beauty Elderflower Cordial
Hand picked Sambucus Nigra ‘Black Beauty’ elderflowers go into this beautiful pink cordial. Light and floral cordial similar to the classic one but with a warm pink glow of natural colour.
I pick mine on a sunshine day here in Devon and steep them overnight with organic lemon zest before making the cordial. I find this relaxes as much flavour from the flowers as possible making a delicious versatile cordial.
Use the cordial to make a long refreshing drink with still or sparking water, use in a cocktail (recipe here), pour a drizzle neat onto a fruit salad and make your own ice lolly pops!
